2012 AUDI Palates of Port

For the second year running, AUDI has teamed up with Port Douglas Carnivale to bring you the 2012 AUDI Palates of Port.

This exclusive event, held at magical rainforest venue Flames of the Forest, features eight of Port Douglas' finest restaurants and their Chefs creating a stunning eight course degustation menu with matching wines sponsored by the Red and White Wine Portfolio.
This year’s theme "Music to Dine By" will see each Chef be inspired by a piece of music when creating their signature dish.  Guests will delight at the inspirations, perhaps in turn inspiring magic at home!

The participating chefs – who know each other well – have collaborated on the eight course menu so each course is complementary yet distinctive to their individual skills and preferences. The one common element is all dishes must include local produce – hardly a trial!

2012 sees the return of Salsa Bar and Grill, Bucci, Bistro 3, Port Douglas Catering, Flames of the Forest and the Sheraton Mirage Port Douglas Resort and the introduction of The Beach Shack and the Sea Temple Resort & Spa to this sensational evening of music, cuisine and glamour al fresco style in the rainforest.

The evening includes return transfers from six dedicated pick up points in Port Douglas with sponsor Sun Palm Transport, eight course degustation menu with matching wines (and music!) and live entertainment from popular local musician Tony George and his band.
